The Brilon Hanseatic Days are meant to be a festival for and by townspeople, intended to help boost the community's public spirit. Lots of volunteers, sponsors, and supporters from the locality have already come together, stressing this sense of unity. Working in close cooperation with town council and administration, Briloners are committed to being perfect hosts for 2020.
In 2020, Brilon celebrates the 800th anniversary of its town charter, granted by Engelbert von Berg, Archbishop of Cologne. Today, the town presents itself as a powerful business location with many innovative enterprises operating on a world-wide scale. As Germany’s most richly forested municipality, Brilon offers numerous possibilities for leisure activities and relaxation – a Kneipp Spa characterised by numerous health and wellness packages, remarkable cultural attractions, the cultivation of long-standing traditions, and an historic old town which invites you to linger.
